Man Up Eggnog

No holiday get-together is complete without the obligatory eggnog drink. But our special recipe–complete with freshly grated nutmeg and nutty cognac–is sure to bring a smile to even the fiercest eggnog-opposers’ faces. Plus, you can whip it up in less than ten minutes. Unfortunately, we couldn’t get our hands on those moose glasses from the infamous scene in “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation,” but we think the drink can speak for itself.

Man Up Eggnog

Makes: 5-6 servings

Prep: 5-10 minutes

Ingredients

• 1 quart of store-bought eggnog
• ¾-1 1/3 cups of cognac (Spiced rum works, too.)
• 1 cinnamon stick per glass
• Sprinkle of freshly grated nutmeg over each glass

Instructions

• Pour store-bought eggnog into large bowl
• Measure desired amount of cognac into liquid measuring cup, and pour into the bowl along with the eggnog. Whisk the eggnog and cognac together until well-blended.
• Place a full cinnamon stick in a glass. Fill the glass with the eggnog.
• Using a nutmeg grater, grate the nutmeg over the top of the glass.
